Fresh Festival Journal

Editorial policy

Fresh Festival Journal aims for accurate, clearly framed writing about festival design and experience. We distinguish description from interpretation, avoid presenting a single visitor's perspective as universal, and make our editorial choices legible to readers.

Accuracy and context

We check names, descriptions and factual claims before publication, using information appropriate to the subject. We take care not to turn a broad impression into a definite claim, and we explain uncertainty where it matters. Readers can send corrections through the Contact page; we review them and amend published material when warranted, making meaningful corrections clear.

Editorial independence

Coverage is chosen for its relevance to the publication, not as a promise of favourable treatment. A partnership does not determine our editorial conclusions. We do not present promotional claims as independent assessment, and we will decline work that would make the distinction unclear.

Partner material

Paid, gifted or otherwise supported material is labelled so readers can recognise its relationship. Partner placements are kept distinct from editorial recommendations, and a label does not imply that Fresh Festival Journal independently verifies every statement made by a partner.

Images and illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Where that applies, we identify the image as an illustration rather than documentary evidence. We avoid using illustrative imagery in a way that could be mistaken for a verified view of a particular festival.
